Las Vegas Raiders fans discuss bright spots on coaching staff

It’s been a rough season for the Las Vegas Raiders under first-year coach Pete Carroll.

He has fired two assistants, special teams coach Tom McMahon and offensive coordinator Chip Kelly. But not all is lost on the staff.

Luke Stechel, tight ends coach. Was an offensive assistant with Vrabel in Tennessee.

I am also favorable to Patrick Graham; he just has never had decent defensive personnel to work with

I know a lot of you aren’t too happy with the defense, and neither am I. But I think Patrick Graham, when allowed to run his own scheme as in last year, was sort of doing it with mirrors a little bit. The D was the stronger part of the team. So I like that. Hope he stays. Don’t really know if he’d be a good head coach or not though. A bit too quiet maybe.

Sadly, other than Crosby and Bowers, nothing on this putrid franchise excites me. The only constant in all this continued extreme ineptitude is Mark Davis. He states he is aware that he is not a football guy, but, despite multiple examples of how to build a successful franchise all around the NFL, he has failed in spectacular fashion. I don’t believe, as long as he owns this team, we will ever have sustained, repeatable success.

Al Davis used to say “ the greatness of the Raiders is in it’s future” sadly, unless proven otherwise, our greatness is in, and will stay, in its distant past.
