The World Champion Carolina Hurricanes start their preseason with a match against their nemesis, Florida Panthers on Sunday night in Florida.
Game time is 7 P.M. and the game will be streamed from the team’s home page.
Carolina released their roster for the game and it is comprised mostly of their second unit from training camp. The exceptions are Pyotr Kochetkov, Mike Reilly, and Jesperi Kotkaniemi.
Kochetkov, who hasn’t played since last December due to injury, is really looking forward to getting
back between the pipes.
Kotkaniemi has seen his status with the team fall and fall as he now seems to be behind Nicolas Deslauriers on Carolina’s depth chart. He will be hoping to show the coaching staff some kind of spark or more inspiration in his game, or whatever else they might be looking for from him.
Charlie Cerrato, Bradly Nadeau, Felix Unger Sorum, Charles Alexis Legault and others will be hoping to impress in this game as well.

While the Hurricanes will be resting their starters, the Panthers will most likely be playing some vets. I have not seen an official roster sheet yet for them, but I would expect they would see action on home ice.
