Michael Olise turned in a Man of the Match performance after his first ever hat-trick helped power Bayern Munich to a 7-0 win over Union Berlin. Speaking after the game, Bayern coach Vincent Kompany was asked about his favorite qualities in the 24-year-old. His answer? All of it!
“The whole package. The way he plays football, but also how he is as a person,” Kompany said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “I don’t want to be a ‘fan’ of my players – for me it’s important how they are as human beings. Michael
Olise is a whole package, it’s easy to work with such players. He’s been playing at this level for almost 2.5 years, he’s definitely on a good path.”
Although Harry Kane is the primary candidate to win the Ballon d’Or this year, Olise is making a strong case to win the award at some point. Some players would rather speak unfounded claims in the media than actually perform on the pitch. Olise is the complete opposite: he doesn’t speak to the media, and he performs on the pitch.
