We could certainly use a few wins at the moment, both on and off the pitch, so here’s one of the latter variety. Moisés Caicedo has put pen to paper on the new long-term contract extension, good through 2033.
His previous deal was set to expire in 2031 (plus a club option for an additional year), but it’s not really the length that’s the key motivating factor here. Caicedo’s new deal is expected to carry a payrise commensurate with his importance to the team, not to mention his unwavering commitment
to the project. He recently proclaimed his desire to become a club legend, and he’s certainly well on his way to doing so.
“I am so happy to have extended my contract at Chelsea. I believe in this team, this club and I know we’re going in the right direction. We’ve only just begun together.
“There is still a lot more to achieve, and I’m very hungry to keep improving every day. I want to win more trophies with Chelsea and give everything for this club and for the fans. We have enjoyed some great times together already and my dream is to become a Chelsea legend, and I will work as hard as possible to make that happen.”

“The 24-year-old midfielder, our record signing, is closing in on 150 appearances for the club. Here’s to next 150, and then the next 150 beyond that — along with many more trophies of course!
