Fans looking for a fun night out while taking in some WWE action will soon have their chance.
On Monday, WWE announced that its next Premium Live Event (PLE), Clash in Paris, is coming to movie theaters.
“Tickets to watch the first-ever WWE Clash in Paris in theaters are now available on Fandango,” said WWE in a press release. “Wrestling fans can feel the heat of the ring live in theaters nationwide on Sunday, August 31 at 2pm ET. The event marks the first time a WWE Premium Live Event will be held
in Paris, and fans can watch it live at their local movie theater.”
This marks the second event in WWE’s new partnership with Fandango, which aims to bring its PLEs to the big screen. The first was SummerSlam, which aired across Regal Cinemas nationwide. This time, WWE will offer Clash in Paris in select theaters across the country.
The move is part of WWE’s broader strategy to expand its viewing options ahead of a significant shift in 2026. That’s when its PLEs will move to ESPN’s new streaming platform. That deal comes with a $29.99 monthly price tag — a steep increase for fans used to watching on the WWE Network or Peacock at a fraction of the cost.
While WWE content is available on other platforms, like Netflix, those services often offer flexible price tiers and broader content. In contrast, the upcoming ESPN deal may force wrestling fans to pay premium prices for a platform that doesn’t match their interests.
Theatrical screenings may offer a more affordable alternative — especially for solo viewers. However, prices vary by location. A single ticket in Cerritos, CA, costs $17.69, while in Camarillo, just under two hours away, the price rises to $22.69.
For fans not looking to commit to another streaming service, a bucket of popcorn and the big screen might be the next best thing to being there.
