Another central midfielder is in Bayern Munich’s transfer sights, according to a report from Sky Germany reporter Florian Pletteneberg,
It’s Anderlecht’s Nathan De Cat, a 17-year-old tipped to be a priority
target for the Bayern sporting regime of Max Eberl and Christoph Freund.
🚨🔴 EXCL | FC Bayern are exploring a deal to sign Nathan De Cat!
Several top clubs are pushing to sign the highly talented CM, who will join Belgium at the U-17 World Cup in Qatar. Dortmund are also in the race.
One of the preferred summer targets for Eberl/Freund. #BVB are aware of Bayern’s interest. De Cat could become the successor to Leon #Goretzka.
Contract at Anderlecht until 2027.

This is exciting talent ID from the Bavarians, who have needed to inject young blood into their midfield group and in recent years have gone about doing just that. De Cat is young, dynamic, and getting playing time already in Belgium’s top flight. His contract runs only to 2027, so this is an excellent chance for Bayern to swoop in before another Bundesliga talent factory does.
Will he get playing time in Munich, though? Or would a club like Borussia Dortmund offer a more compelling path forward?
