The Las Vegas Raiders are facing the 2-8 Cleveland Browns on Sunday, with the fight for a top-five pick. Both teams are struggling this season, and the winner would have the tiebreaker in draft position.
Shedeur Sanders will be making his first start of the season this week. After a draft drop that caused controversy, Sanders landed in Cleveland. He was a healthy scratch for most of the season, but after a concussion to Dillion Gabriel, he will get his opportunity to display his talents.
Patrick Graham
believes the key to stopping the Browns this week is to slow down the run game. However, he praised Sanders’ game and skill set when speaking to the media on Thursday.
there’s leadership traits. I remember, at either the combine or he came to
visit, leadership traits. Obviously, the lineage from his father, great player, so he’s been around good
football his whole life, knows football. Then, when you watch the tape that stands out, I mean, he can
make the throws. I mean, there’s some throws, even last week, some throws in the preseason that were
pretty good
Graham will be attempting to slow down Sanders and give him a rough first outing. During his time with the Raiders, Graham hasn’t had much success against rookie QBs, with his first win coming against Spencer Rattler in 2024. They held Cam Ward in check earlier this season and hope to duplicate that success.
