Cody Garbrandt returned to the bantamweight win column with a decision over Xiao Long earlier tonight (Sat., March 7, 2026) at UFC 326 LIVE on Paramount+ from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev., but the fight should have been stopped after “No Love” vomited in a bucket in the third round.
This was a weird fight to say the least. Garbrandt entered as a betting underdog, but the former UFC bantamweight champion showed up early with a knockdown and a rejuvenated chin. Long landed some pretty clean
shots as well — including a snapping head kick — but Garbrandt ate them all and kept plodding forward to engage.
It was a pretty fun back-and-forth affair, but the “Prelims” headliner took a turn for a worse in Round 3 when Long landed a nasty low blow that left Garbrandt in serious pain. “No Love” ended up needing a bucket to puke in and Long was deducted a point. By the Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts the fight should have been stopped because Garbrandt vomited, but officials let it continue.
Long ended up landing another clean low bow moments later and was deducted another point. Garbrandt was able to recover again and used Long’s multiple point deductions to walk away with the unanimous decision to stop a two-fight losing skid. However, an argument can be made that the fight should have been stopped due to Garbrandt losing his lunch in the third round.
