Chris Jericho needed partners for the main event trios match against the Demand on AEW Collision (Apr. 25, 2026). They didn’t have to be friends with Jericho. They just needed to share a mutual dislike of Ricochet. Jericho found a pair of heavy hitters willing to do business. The hurt business, if you will. Unfortunately, business was not booming when Jericho and the Hurt Syndicate lost the match. To make matters worse, Ricochet scored the win by pinning Jericho off the Ricosault. (Insert Ricochet laugh
sound effect.)
The action started with fireworks for a rock ’em sock ’em brawl.
Jericho threw caution to the wind for a flying crossbody outside.
Bobby Lashley unleashed power offense.
Shelton Benjamin would not be outdone. He suplexed the Demand into oblivion.
Despite the chosen highlights, this match was not a runaway beatdown. GOA held their own with strength against the Hurt Syndicate. Ricochet pulled a sneaky trick in the end. While the Hurt Syndicate and GOA were pounding beef on the outside, Ricochet took advantage of the chaos to deliver a low blow on Jericho. Adding insult to injury was the Ricosault for victory.
The Hurt Syndicate may have earned a payday out of Jericho’s pocket, but this partnership failed to get the win. I guess the silver lining is that Jericho can still market himself as, “The guy who gets his ass beat by The Demand every week that he shows up.” He went to the effort of trademarking that phrase out from under Ricochet, so it makes sense to keep taking beatdowns to maximize profits while the novelty lasts. That brings up the idea of Jericho recruiting new partners each week and getting his ass beat. Rinse and repeat until Jericho finally finds the winning combination to possibly form a new faction.
