Oleksandr Usyk just joined Ring Magazine’s show to discuss his upcoming bout against kickboxer Rico Vanhoeven and during the segment he was asked about his remaining plans in the sport of boxing as he’s now looking towards the finish line of a Hall of Fame career. Check out some of what he had to say below.
Usyk on facing Vanhoeven
“For me it’s a real fight. Yes, Rico not good boxer…but I want a next fight with winner Daniel Dubois and maybe Wardley.”
On how many more times he plans to fight
“Three fights.”
On whether Moses Itauma could be one of those three fights
“No. I don’t not want to fight with Itauma because it’s young
guy. I do not want to break this guy, this is guy I like.”
On who he’s eyeing for his last three fights
“Listen. Rico, this is first. Second, it’s who win Wardley vs Dubois. Third fight, it’s my friend ‘Greedy Belly’, Tyson Fury.”
On fighting in front of the pyramids
“Crazy experience. It’s my collection, it’s different country when I have fight.”
