Barcelona have reportedly reached agreement with Borussia Dortmund to sign Karim Adeyemi in a transfer worth up to €29 million.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Barcelona will pay an initial €22m plus €7m add-ons based on title wins and appearances.
Adeyemi will sign a five-year contract with the Catalan giants and become the club’s second signing of the summer transfer window.
Barcelona have managed to wrap up the transfer quickly just days after sending in an opening bid for Adeyemi in a move that caught most fans by surprise.
Dortmund turned down Barcelona’s initial offer but the Catalans have returned to seal the deal quickly and before the start of pre-season next week.
Adeyemi was keen to make the switch to Catalunya and will play under Hansi Flick. The two worked together previously during Flick’s time in charge of the German national team.
