The Dallas Cowboys have pulled another trigger to add ro their free agency spending. Defensive tackle Kenny Clark, who the Cowboys acquired via trade in 2025, has had his contract restructured.
His $11 million roster bonus has been turned into a signing bonus according to ESPN. As a result, Dallas has now created $8.8 million in cap space.
To become salary cap compliant, the Cowboys initially restructured the contracts of Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Tyler Smith, which opened up $66 million in cap space last week. Terence Steele and the team negotiated a new deal on Monday, and that created $13 million is cap space. Malik Hooker also had the final year of his deal restructured on Monday to add $2 million in cap space for 2026.
So far, safety Jalen Thompson is the only outside fre agent that the Cowboys added to the roster as he inked a 3-year, $36 million deal. They have a little more cushion now to add more players.
