That last game not withstanding, the 2025 season was a pretty good one for Arizona. The nine wins were an improvement of five from the year before, and on the grading front there was also a big leap according
to Pro Football Focus.
The UA graded out at 87.7 for the season, ranking 31st out of 136 FBS schools. That’s a big leap from the 75.6 grade in 2024, when it ranked 104th, though still down a bit from 2023 (90.8).
The Wildcats ranked 55th on defense, at 76.2, up from 55th last season, while their defense graded at 91.5 to tie for 14th nationally. In 2024 that unit was 123rd. And Arizona’s 93.2 coverage grade ranked 2nd nationally behind Texas Tech.
