The 2026 season has come to its conclusion, and with it, the chaos that is the NCAA transfer portal has officially opened. While teams navigate the Mountain West-Pac-12 split, I will be keeping track of who teams lose and gain through the portal window. Outlook: Longtime head coach Laura Berg had been very quiet in the portal thus far, with the Beavers only losing players for the first three weeks of the period. That changed on Monday, when the Beavs landed a commitment from Syracuse catcher Taylor Davison, the obvious replacement for the outgoing Madison Weir. Davison is a career .220 hitter with the Orange, primarily being used in 2026 as a defender, recording 97 putouts with a .981 fielding percentage. If Davison can get her bat going with the Beavers, her abilities behind the dish will make her a great pickup for OSU.

Outlook: UNLV made another portal add on Tuesday, adding former Indiana and Miami (OH) first baseman Ella Carter. Carter is a career .292 hitter, hitting .305 with 10 home runs during the Redhawks’ NCAA Tournament run in 2025. Carter is also as sure of a hand as you will get defensively, with 521 putouts against just six errors in her two years at the other Miami. Having lost previous first baseman Diamond Sefe to graduation, the Rebels have another nice pickup for their 2027 title hopes.
