According to a report from Marca journalist Matteo Moretto, Fulham appears to be shifting its focus in its search for a new right-back, as interest in Andrei Rațiu is reportedly cooling.
Rather than continuing down the path toward the Rayo Vallecano defender, Fulham are now in direct contact over Bayern Munich right-back Sacha Boey. The change in direction could signal that Boey has quickly emerged as a more concrete option for the Premier League club.
For Boey, a move away from Bayern Munich could
provide an opportunity to take on a more prominent role. The French right-back has faced strong competition for minutes since arriving in Munich and has underperformed when he has had the opportunity to play.
Fulham, meanwhile, appears determined to strengthen the position and have already moved beyond simply monitoring Boey, with direct contacts now taking place.
It remains to be seen whether those discussions develop into a formal offer, but the situation could move quickly with deadline day approaching. Could Sacha Boey be heading back to the Premier League?
