The rumors are no longer rumors, as now there are reports that the Cleveland Browns are trading DE Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams. The Browns-Rams rumor picked up steam Sunday night and into Monday morning with news breaking early Monday afternoon:
The return has not been fully released at this time, with Cleveland at least getting DE Jared Verse and a 2027 first-round pick. More, potentially significantly more, is expected to be added to the trade compensation for the Browns.
Verse is a Dayton, Ohio native and now returns to his home state. In two seasons in Los Angeles after being the 19th overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, Verse has made both Pro Bowls and was the AP Rookie of the Year.
When Garrett and the Browns adjusted his contract earlier this offseason, it seemed like a trade was the likely outcome, despite denials from GM Andrew Berry.
