The finale of the 2025 season kicked off last night, with the Blue Jays running away with a surprise Game 1 victory 11-4. Addison Barger’s pinch-hit grand slam was the gut punch that sealed the deal, but
the Jays had already gotten to Dodgers starter Blake Snell well before that. Toronto took a huge step forward powering out the win, but they’re in for a long fight still if they want to win it all.
While we await the second installment of this year’s World Series later tonight, our day on the site starts with Sam’s full recap of the Game 1 eruption. Then, Matt takes us back to the five best Yankees starts of 2025 by game score, before Sam returns to talk about the World Series from 25 years ago in our 2000 Diary.

Questions/Prompts:

2. Are you keeping an eye out for Arizona Fall League results or will you wait for the season to play out before assessing anything there?
