Manchester City take on Everton at the Etihad Stadium as the Premier League season resumes after the international break. The Blues would keep up with the leaders with victory today, but Everton have shown
they are in resurgence this season, sitting in 8th place in the Premier League.
Both teams will be without key players for the clash, with City missing Rodri and Everton having to leave Jack Grealish out, as he is unable to face his parent club. It will be an interesting clash and all eyes will be on Erling Haaland, who will be looking to score in his 12th successive match.
As usual, our team are here to give us their views and opinions on the match. Here’s what we think this week.
Saul
Great match back from break. Think City will come out on fire and take it to the toffees. 3-1 City.
City 3-1 Everton
Thomas
The international break is over and City are home to host the Toffees. The big story in this one is the return of Super Jack Grealish to the Etihad. Expect a warm welcome for the beloved City treble winner. The Manc Blues are unbeaten in their last 16 league matches with Everton and I see that run continuing. Give me a brace for Haaland and three points for City.
City 3-0 Everton
Will
Everton missing Grealish will be key for them. I think City will win fairly comfortably
City 4-0 Everton
Pete
City have struggled to break down Everton recently at home but they have some momentum at the moment. Everton are a decent side but I think City will take the points.
City 4-1 Everton
What happened against Brentford
We got through a potentially difficult match thanks to a Haaland goal, but it wasn’t easy as Brentford are a good attacking side.
Our team all predicted a win, but Saul and Will both pick up extra points for predicting the correct goal difference. They both went for 2-1 while Thomas and Pete both went for an optimistic 3-1.
Here’s the table:
