Deontay Wilder doesn’t like to talk about Tyson Fury, having been stopped by “The Gypsy King” in their epic trilogy back in late 2021.
Blame poison and white supremacy for the downfall of the “Bronze Bomber.”
That’s probably why Derek Chisora donned a Fury mask for his Wilder staredown following today’s official weigh ins, held in advance of their DAZN pay-per-view (PPV) boxing match
this weekend at O2 Arena in London.“I think Tyson (Fury) gave Deontay PTSD,” Chisora told Inside the Ring. “In London,
we tried to speak about Tyson and he went nuts on Simon Jordan. We tried to speak about Tyson today with Piers Morgan, and he went nuts as well. Tyson has given him PTSD. He’s very sensitive. He’s in a dark place right now.”
At least he’s not storming off television sets.
“I was telling everybody I had to heal, and it took a long time for me to heal,” Wilder said at Thursday’s press conference. “But you know, sometimes it takes those times to get to the point because sometimes we can rush things. I had to heal physically, emotionally, and mentally and I think I’ve done that and come Saturday night I will prove that.”
