The Portland Trail Blazers have undergone seismic shifts during the Summer of 2026. They traded Jerami Grant for Ja Morant. Damian Lillard is preparing to make a return to the court. Shaedon Sharpe tore his meniscus, leaving a hole at the wing positions. Oh, and they also hired a brand new head coach, Micah Nori. This isn’t just redecoration. It’s a full-on renovation.
The player most likely to be affected by these shifts was the guy who loaded the team on his back last year and carried them to the playoffs,
forward Deni Avdija. He became Portland’s leading scorer, an offense initiator, a free-throw machine, and an NBA All-Star.
Deni might still stand at the summit of the roster, but with all the landscape restructuring beneath him, we have no idea whether that peak will be higher, lower, or the same. We also don’t know if he’ll stand astride it in the same way, or if the Blazers will want him to.
Today we’re asking you to do a tricky thing. Take into account all the changes, those you’re sure of and those you have to guess at. With all of those things in mind, predict Deni Avdija’s stat line for 2026-27.
For reference, here was Avdija’s production last season:

- 24.2 points
- 6.9 rebounds
- 6.7 assists
- 46.2% on field goals
- 31.8% on three-pointers
