UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira appears to be in a new relationship with Tracy Cortez and he’s already running the women’s flyweight contender through a striking clinic.
Earlier this week, MMA social media nearly melted after photos released of Pereira and Cortez hugging and kissing for the New Year. Fight fans immediately noticed the new “power couple” and did their best to pass the information along to UFC veteran Brian Ortega, who at one point was engaged to Cortez.
Ortega, who has already
married following his breakup with Cortez back in 2022, reacted to the new footage of his former fiancé and Pereira in respectable fashion.
The details of Pereira’s new relationship with Cortez are unknown at this time, but the UFC champion is already helping out his fellow fighter in the gym. Pereira, who is known as one of the best strikers to ever grace the Octagon, hit the mats with Cortez the other day and taught her a thing or two about footwork and throwing feints. It was pretty cool to see.

Pereira, who was last seen knocking out Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 320 to reclaim his 205-pound title, could be on his way to heavyweight before we know it. If that happens, “Poatan” will have a chance to put his world-class striking to the test again and try to become the first three-division champion in UFC history.
