Sometimes, people do things that they shouldn’t. No one knows this better than former Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn. He is, after all, the man who sacked Julian Nagelsmann in that fateful March international break, a move that would change the trajectory of the club forever.
So why oh why would he do this? Per Tz and his own personal Instagram, Kahn has been spending the winter holidays skiing in the Alps. Yes, that’s right. Skiing.
There is no greater sin for a Bayern Munich adjacent person to commit
than to go skiing. Manuel Neuer did it and the football gods cursed him with an accident where he broke his foot. Julian Nagelsmann did it and he got sacked. Now Kahn has tempted fate by engaging in the taboo activity once again.
When asked about the transgression, club President Herbert Hainer is reported to have said, “What do you want us to do? It’s not like we can sack him twice.”
Needless to say, this spells doom for the rest of Bayern Munich’s season. It is no coincidence that Bayern started dropping points right after Kahn posted these photos to his Instagram. The football gods are angry, and they demand a sacrifice. So to fix the chaos, someone needs to send Sacha Boey on a skiing trip.
It’s the only way.
