The injury report was just released for the Michigan Wolverines ahead of their game against Central Michigan, and the team appears to be trending in the wrong direction. After being relatively healthy heading into the Oklahoma game, it is the exact opposite today against the Chippewas, and a couple surprising names are on the injury report this week.
Out
- WR I’Marion Stewart
- CB Caleb Anderson
- QB Davis Warren
- DB Tevis Metcalf
- DB Mason Curtis
- RB Micah Ka’apana
- RB Donovan Johnson
- RB John Volker
- LB Jaydon Hood
- OL Giovanni El-Hadi
- OL Andrew Babalola
- OL Brady Norton
- Edge Devon Baxter
- WR C.J. Charleston
Questionable
- CB Shamari Earls
- QB Mikey Keene
- CB Zeke Berry
- LB Ernest Hausmann
- TE Marlin Klein
- S Rod Moore
- DL Ike Iwunnah
It’s unfortunate that El-Hadi is out for today, but perhaps he is out as a precaution to try and get him ready for next week’s game at Nebraska. Meanwhile,
Norton is a surprise addition to the injury report after playing the entire game against Oklahoma last week. Hopefully whatever it is he’s dealing with is minor and is able to suit up next week as well.
Hausmann is another addition to this week’s injury report, as he played against the Sooners a week ago and didn’t appear to suffer an injury in that game either. If he isn’t able to go, expect to see a lot more Jimmy Rolder and Cole Sullivan, as we did in the first half of last week’s game when Jaishawn Barham was out.
A few key guys listed as questionable include Rod Moore, Berry, Klein and Earls. It sounds like all four are trending in the right direction to play today, per Sherrone Moore in his press conference on Monday, so barring anything unforeseen, we may get to see all four play against the Chippewas. If Rod Moore does play, it will be his first game action since the National Championship Game nearly two years ago.
Kickoff is set for noon on Big Ten Network.
