The Lakers could be welcoming back one of their two injured superstars on Monday.
After missing the last three games with a groin injury, Reaves has been upgraded to questionable for Monday’s game against
the Hornets.
Reaves had been designated with right groin soreness before being changed to a right groin strain for the game against the Hawks. However, before that Atlanta game, Redick revealed that the expectation was for Reaves to return during this five-game road trip.
While the team has more than survived their injury woes early in the season, Saturday was a reminder of how thin the margin of error is without two of their Big 3 sidelined. For a number of obvious reasons, welcoming Reaves back into the starting lineup will be huge.
Even if he doesn’t return on Monday, this sets him up for a return in the coming games. And with the Oklahoma City game on Wednesday looming, having Reaves back would make it even more enticing.
Also, with LeBron James progressing in rehab of own injury back in Los Angeles, the Lakers are close to being at full strength for the first time this season. While it’s been a fun season so far, LA is getting healthier and more fun should be on the way.
