Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has hit double digit hat tricks in only his third season in the Bundesliga.
In Bayern’s 5-0 away win against VfB Stuttgart, Kane came off the bench to hit a low thunderbolt
into the bottom corner, double his tally from the penalty spot, and finish off a tidy cross from Michael Olise from close range.
Kane’s most recent triple-pack takes him to ten hat tricks in the Bundesliga in only his 76th appearance. That’s a hat trick roughly every 7-8 games. His previous hat tricks came against VfL Bochum, Darmstadt 98, Borussia Dortmund, and Mainz 05 in the 2023/24 season, Holstein Kiel, Stuttgart, and FC Augsburg in the 2024/25 season, and RB Leipzig and TSG Hoffenheim in the current season.
Only four players have ever recorded more hat tricks than Kane. Treble-winning former Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes is one of them with eleven, and Schalke 04 legend Klaus Fischer has one more with twelve. Another Bayern treble winner is in second place – Robert Lewandowski with 16.
And finally, pole position goes to the one and only Gerd Müller with a whopping 32 hat tricks. At the rate Kane is going, he would need around 168 games to match the Bomber’s tally, which roughly translates to five full Bundesliga seasons.
Is this a sign that Kane should sign a new deal with Bayern? Time will tell.
