Bayern Munich’s away kit for the 2026/27 season has been receiving massive praise from all around the football world. Not only Bayern fans, but supporters of other clubs have shown their approval of the design.
The white kit with red and navy accents has become a favorite for many. This writer can reveal that many adidas stores in Korea are sold out due to overwhelming demand that the limited supply could not keep up with.
Curiously enough, despite its popularity, the current away kit has only been
worn once in a competitive game so far by the men’s team — during the 3-1 win over SC Freiburg last weekend. In contrast, the women’s team has worn it four times so far: against Union Berlin, Bayer Leverkusen, SL Benfica, and Eintracht Frankfurt. The men did wear it twice more in preseason, however, against Jeju SK and FC Heidenheim. Fans will be hoping that the shirt is worn a lot more, given how much it seems to be loved.
However, this is not the first Bayern away kit to receive universal praise. The 2021/22 away kit, which was black and gold, was also a big hit, while the one that followed the next season — white and gold — was praised as well.

Both shirts had gold as their secondary color, which added a sense of sophistication and royalty to the designs, and were huge hits with the fans. It seems to be a matter of opinion which shirt is liked better, although this writer leans slightly toward the white one. Since then, Bayern’s away kits have been polarizing at best, until the current one came along.
So, is the current away kit the best away kit that Bayern has ever worn? Let us know in the comments!
