Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane and Michael Olise have been unstoppable in 2026.
Well, you could argue that they have been unstoppable for much longer than that, but in 2026, they have beaten the competition and officially have the most goal involvements of any players in Europe. Here’s the stat sheet from OptaFranz prior to the SV Elversberg game to put things in perspective:
1 & 2 – Top-5-Leagues players with the most goal involvements in competitive matches in the year 2026:
🥇 Harry Kane – 39 (34 goals, 5 assists)
🥈 Michael Olise – 32 (15 goals, 17 assists)Brilliant. @FCBayern
After the game against Elversberg that saw Kane notch another goal and assist, his tally now stands at 41 goal contributions this year so far. Outrageous.
What a barn-burner of a year the two are having. Those numbers are absolutely insane, and there are still 3.5 months of football left in the calendar year. Harry Kane should most certainly end the year with 50+ goal contributions, and with the start Olise has had… he wouldn’t be far behind.
These two footballers should definitely be no.1 and no.2, respectively, in the Ballon d’Or rankings, if that award had any shred of credibility. However, it hasn’t had credibility in AGES, and we can therefore expect one or both players to be snubbed.
That doesn’t change the stats though.
Bayern Munich has the two best attackers in the world.
Simple as that.
