As the postseason rages on, other teams like the Colorado Rockies are already looking ahead to 2027.
This offseason will bring a lot of reflection on how the current roster is constructed and potential moves to help the 2027 squad. A major part of that is looking back at how 2026 went and the right process forward. For the first time in a long while, the Rockies will take an important first step with a press conference today from the front office.
Over the last several years the Rockies hid from the public
after the season. When there were having press conferences with general manager Jeff Bridich and manager Bud Black, things always boiled down to, “The players need to just play better.”
Not exactly a model of accountability.
Well, the improved communication from Paul DePodesta and company this year has been refreshing. Now, they have a chance to address the media about what went well, what went wrong, and what needs to happen next as part of the climb to contention.
Now, let’s get to some news from the Rockies and the league!
