It’s time. The best two words in sports. Game Seven. The Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays are set to go head-to-head with a trip to the World Series on the line. Buckle up!
Toronto has come back twice
in this series, from an 0-2 hole and then a 2-3 deficit that they evened yesterday. As the American League’s #1 seed they get the right to host this critical game and any advantage, especially home field advantage, is huge in elimination games. The Jays will send right-hander Shane Bieber to the mound tonight hoping they get a vintage performance from the former Cy Young award winner.
Here’s how the Blue Jays will line up for Game 7:
For Seattle the pressure has got to be on. They had two leads in this series and certainly would have liked to have wrapped this up by now. Still just one win away from their first World Series appearance (the last team in MLB to not appear in the Fall Classic), the Mariners will need to win on the road in what is going to be a hostile environment. It’ll be former 1st rounder George Kirby on the mound for the M’s tonight. Their prized young arm was drafted and developed for exactly this moment. Let’s see if he’s up to the task ahead of him tonight.
Here’s how Seattle will line up for tonight’s contest:
Whoever wins tonight has a date with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday night. Who will it be? Get ready for Game 7 of the ALCS!
