For the second straight year, the Pittsburgh Steelers are on Aaron Rodgers watch. And in the same vain, it is largely expected that Rodgers will join the Steelers for the 2026 season, much like it was a matter of when not if in 2025.
Even with the optimism of a Rodgers return, there is no certainty. And it is that lack of knowing that has led to a second consecutive year of fans being angry at the Steelers waiting on the 42 year-old quarterback. However, at least one Steelers offensive star is unbothered.
Appearing on Good Morning Football, running back Jaylen Warren says he’ll be happy with whomever is under center.
“I’m not really expecting anything,” Warren said. “Whatever happens, happens. I’m rocking with whoever’s at the quarterback position. But if he comes back, great. If he doesn’t, then we’ll miss him.”
Even without Rodgers, the Steelers have loaded up on talent. They signed a ruling mate for Warren in the form of Rico Dowdle and traded for a true WR2 by acquiring Michael Pittman Jr.
The Steelers’ offseason program has officially begun, with phase one starting on April 7. They will hold a voluntary mini-camp from April 20-22, with OTAs beginning May 18, and mandatory mini-camp being held from June 2-4.
