When Stephanie Vaquer won the women’s world championship at a house show in Chile, with Becky Lynch as a special guest referee eager to screw Liv Morgan out of the title she had held for 147 days, it was clear where WWE was headed.
It took nearly a month but we finally got to the main event of this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in St. Louis: a number one contender’s match pitting Lynch vs. Morgan with the winner receiving a shot at Vaquer and her title at Money in the Bank on Oct. 10 in New Orleans.
Naturally, The Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez got involved to assist their dear leader. Of course, Vaquer acted as an equalizer, taking out Perez herself before ensuring the referee saw Rodriguez trying to cheat with the Intercontinental title. In the ensuing melee, however, she ended up taking a shot from both Morgan and Lynch.
So she said to hell with it and attacked them both, causing a disqualification. Then she grabbed a microphone and called out Raw General Manager Adam Pearce.
“I want both this Saturday.”
Pearce made it official right away.
