After a decade playing in London for Tottenham, Harry Kane is wrapping up his third Hinrunde with Bayern Munich. Kane’s stint at Bayern has been filled with a record amount of goals and clutch moments, like his late penalty against Mainz to preserve Bayern’s undefeated Bundesliga campaign.
Kane has tallied over 400 goals for club and country but still relishes the roar of the crowd with each passing celebration.
“Whenever I score a goal,” said Kane (via @iMiaSanMia). “Especially at home at the Allianz
Arena or at Wembley for England, and you hear the fans singing your name, that’s part of the reason you play football – to have that special connection and to send the fans home happy with your goals and winning games.”
Tottenham’s original White Hart Lane only seated about 36,000 fans, while Bayern’s Allianz Arena (75,000) and Wembley Stadium (90,000).
Kane added, “I will never take that feeling for granted. I think it’s one of the best adrenaline rushes you can get. Hopefully there are many more to come.”
