Indi Hartwell is now The Knockout in TNA. It was a long road from working at Toys “R” Us in Australia for the employee discount to buy plastic replica championships, and the journey was worth it. Hartwell defeated Xia Brookside to win the Knockouts Championship at Bound For Glory (Oct. 11, 2026).
Mickie James was on hand as special guest referee. After being admonished for thumbing Hartwell in the eye, Brookside made the mistake of slapping James. Hardcore Country don’t take no sass, so she punched
Brookside onto her ass.
Aside from that amusing moment, the story of the match stayed between Hartwell and Brookside. An exposed turnbuckle played a role in the finish. Brookside escaped Hurts Donut and sent Hartwell colliding into the exposed steel. The champion executed her lifting DDT finisher. No dice on the three-count as Hartwell kicked out. When Brookside went back to that well, Hartwell countered to send the champion colliding into the cold steel. This was Hartwell’s window to seize victory. A flying elbow drop paved the way for Hurts Donut to win the title.
The childhood dream isn’t a fugazi storyline. Here are some photos of Hartwell as a young lass with her plastic championships.
Flash forward to Hartwell chilling with the Knockouts Championship after her win.
To get the full picture, it is worth revisiting this video package that TNA aired when Hartwell signed last year. Hartwell found TNA on television and immediately connected with the Knockouts wrestling. The rest is history.
