THANK YOU TRAVIS BAZZANA FOR SAVING THIS GAME!!! Seriously that was such a tough watch for the first 7 1/2 innings. The pitching staff kept us in the game but the offense was looking grim until that rally in the bottom of the 8th. Then when Bailey got thrown out at home I couldn’t help but to think “here we go again”.
That was a huge win not only for the standings but for the vibes. Getting swept like that in a double header by the Pirates at home out of the All-Star break would have been so demoralizing.
Also, I don’t want to get too far ahead of myself but Steven Kwan is sure starting to look like the Steven Kwan of old. This team could really, really use the Steven Kwan that we know and love.
The Guardians will look to take the series on Sunday at 1:40 pm ET. It will be Joey Cantillo vs Paul Skenes.
