Among the players Las Vegas Raiders reportedly have visited with is San Diego State cornerback Chris Johnson.
Let’s take a closer look at Johnson:
Size:
6-0, 193 pounds.
2025 Stats:
He was the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year last season. He was second-team All-American. He had four interceptions and returned two for touchdowns.
Other college highlights:
He had six career interceptions. He was honorable mention all conference in 2024. He was San Diego State’s Outstanding Defensive freshman in 2022.
How he’d fit in with Raiders:
Johnson would have a chance to start right away as a rookie and would have a chance to be a long-term fixture in the defense.
What’s his draft range?
Johnson could go late in the first round. The Raiders, of course, own the No. 36 overall pick in the second round. They could target Johnson if they wanted to move up into the late first-round or risk it and hope Johnson is still there. He has a lot of fans in the NFL.
