The Las Vegas Raiders just finished their last football game of the preseason with an 18-12 loss. It is now time for the Raiders to cut their roster to the final 53 and get ready for the Miami Dolphins.
The biggest part of the 53 is picking the starting quarterback. The Raiders have Kirk Cousins and Fernando Mendoza vying for a shot at being the starter. After three preseason games, it appears that Kirk Cousins is comfortably in the lead.
However, Klint Kubiak has not yet committed to a starter. When
asked on Friday, he said he wanted more time to make a decision.
“I still don’t think we need to name anybody,” the first-year coach said. “We have a lot to talk about at a lot of positions, so we want to watch the film and talk about everything as a staff.”
Kubiak seems to take from his dad, who didn’t like to give too much information until the right time. While it is pretty obvious to fans who the starter is, the Raiders will keep us waiting for the actual decision.
