Each practice day of the season, the Kansas City Chiefs release an official injury report leading up to the next game. In the NFL’s Week 2, the Chiefs will host the Indianapolis Colts for “Sunday Night Football” at Arrowhead Stadium.
Here is the latest on the Chiefs’ and Colts’ official injury reports, courtesy of the team’s official website:
Chiefs
The following players did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday.
- Left tackle Josh Simmons (Back)
- Defensive back Chamarri Conner (Knee)
Pete Sweeney of the Kansas City Star posted on X that he “didn’t see Josh Simmons” at practice
while Conner watched without a helmet.

Colts
Wide receiver Alec Pierce (Heel) did not participate in Thursday’s practice after fully practicing on Wednesday. The same goes for running back D.J. Giddens (Knee) and defensive tackle Grover Stewart (Personal matter).
Wide receiver Ashton Dulin (Ankle) did not participate in practice on either Wednesday or Thursday.
Wide receiver Keenan Allen and linebacker Austin Ajiake were full participants in Thursday’s practice after being limited Wednesday. Quarterback Anthony Richardson practiced in full after not practicing on Wednesday.
The following players were full participants in Wednesday’s and Thursday’s practice:
- Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner (Ankle)
- Linebacker Akeen Davis Gaither (Knee)
