The LSU Tigers won a huge showdown vs. another tiger school and now come home for an opener that should provide points in bunches.
After a first game that provided so much joy and now a top five ranking, the win is of big importance. Now, they need to add to it and hang loose here in the home opener.
From third down efficacy, player props, team defense/offense numbers and more, we will have a little bit of everything as we roll on this season. Also, what a start for the predictions, a perfect sweep!
Can we keep it going?
Last season we ended with a negative record for the first time, but still ended up positive because of some big swings we took odds wise (2022: 19-17, 2023: 19-17, 2024: 16-20) and we hope to do better this time around. We hope to start the season strong. (3-0 in 2025)
Today, we take a look at predicting three specific areas for the team. Remember these are bold predictions. (All stats via CFBSTATS)
1 LSU -7.5 First Quarter (-110, FanDuel)
The Tigers will come out swinging and with this bet, we won’t have to wait long for an anwser. Between the Nuss Bus, Perkins and more, the team should be all over Tech early.
LSU hasn’t lost to non conference Group of Five team since 2017 and don’t expect this one to be any different given the teams performance last week and the ranking they have now. All we need is a couple quick ones to clear this bet, take it.
2 Garrett Nussmeier OVER 250 Passing Yards
Explosives, explosives, what can we expect in this home opener. This one has burned us in the past, i will not deny that, but c’mon, this has to hit this time right?
QB power will show and we just need the 250, not asking for the world. Let’s have fun and take this one and maybe combine it with a team total over. If not, the Nuss Bus will cook and show out.

3 UNDER 230 Yards for LA Tech
Enter the defensive leaders Whit Weeks and Harold Perkins Jr. We could see a strong performance here as the defense could show similar traits to the Clemson game. A really strong side that will have the backfield whole and those two stars leading the defense.
With this one, we hope the garbage time is not too bad for the squad and they an hold for all 60 mins.
Final score prediction: LSU 52-7 LA Tech
