We’ve reached the ‘schedule release’ part of the NFL offseason, y’all!
Fans have two things to look forward to: when/where their team will be playing its 2026 opponents, and whether their team’s social media videos can come close to matching the content that the Los Angeles Chargers put out each May.
One of the more intriguing aspects of the schedule release is learning how many primetime games each team will play. Jacksonville Jaguars fans have gotten used to playing just one, maybe two, three if
we’re lucky, nationally-televised games. And it’s usually a Thursday Night Football slopfest against a division rival, or an early Sunday morning London game.
We’ll all be tracking to see how many primetime games Jacksonville is awarded this season. Obviously, we all want to see the Jaguars play under the spotlight as often as possible.
My question for you is whether you want the Jags to play a primetime game during a holiday.
Head coach Liam Coen and his crew have a chance to play on Thanksgiving, as the Dallas Cowboys are among their 2026 opponents, and a Christmas game is also a possibility, with the league recently turning the one-game special into a full tripleheader slate.
Does watching the Jaguars during a significant holiday sound like an absolute ball, or your worst nightmare? Would it be a way to bring your family together, or avoid them entirely?
