This game was one of the tougher watches I’ve had this season. The offense was beyond lifeless as they mustered just 5 hits with 8 strikeouts to 1 walk. This offense is not really capable of surviving Chase DeLauter rest days right now. The 1-2-3 of Kwan, Ramirez, Bazzana had 4 combined hits, the rest of the lineup went 1-19, that certainly is not a recipe for success.
Tanner Bibee had an OK outing, allowing 3 runs in 6 innings pitched. Will Dion looked awesome striking out 4 batters in 2 hitless
innings of relief.
The Guardians offense is in a dark place right now. They desperately need not just one but multiple hitters to get hot soon or we could very well be talking about the Guardians selling off a few pieces at the trade deadline. The Guardians will look to avoid the sweep tomorrow. It will be Parker Messick vs Drew Rasmussen at 12:15 pm ET on Peacock.
