Rey Mysterio took the easy way out as general manager, and that will make life tougher for La Catalina as AAA Reina de Reinas champion.
Catalina opened the latest episode of Lucha Libre AAA (Oct. 17, 2026) with a babyface promo about dreams becoming reality to win the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship from Flammer at Triplemania 34. Las Toxicas interrupted, and Catalina tried to drive a wedge between them. Catalina wanted to know who is better between Flammer and La Hiedra to get the next title shot.
Flammer and Hiedra both spoke separately to AAA general manager Rey Mysterio to state their case as the best. Rey mulled it over to make a decision on booking the title match for Heroes Inmortales. His solution was a three-way. It will be Catalina defending the Reina de Reinas title against Flammer and Hiedra.
Rey did Catalina dirty. Sure, the odds are high that Flammer and Hiedra will turn on each other in attempt to win the gold, but there will also be plenty of united teamwork to target Catalina. The champ needs to consult Steiner math to determine her odds of victory. I don’t think she will have a 141 and 2/3% chance of winning.
Seriously though, that should be a rowdy match.
Heroes Inmortales will be filmed on Saturday, October 24 from Mexico City to be split into three episodes over the coming weeks. Week 1 airs live. The updated card includes:
- AAA Mega Championship: El Grande Americano (c) vs. Dominik Mysterio (Week 1)
- AAA Reina de Reinas Championship: La Catalina (c) vs. Flammer vs. La Hiedra (Week 1)
- AAA World Trios Championship: Los Perros del Mal (c) vs. La Parka, Mr. Iguana, & Niño Hamburguesa (Week 1)
- AAA World Cruiserweight Championship: Fenix (c) vs. Mini Vikingo (Week 2)
- El Fiscal vs. Abimso Negro Jr. (Week 3)
- Marisela Peña inducted into AAA Hall of Fame (Week 3)
