Football database website Transfermarkt just updated their market values for Bayern Munich players this week. In case you’re out of the loop, this is a well-known website that catalogues information about footballers and gives them a “market value” based on factors like age, productivity, and so on.
You can find the entire list here, but here is a quick rundown of every player whose market value actually changed:
- Jonas Urbig: €15m to €18m (+€3m)
- Jonathan Tah: €30m to €28m (-€2m)
- Kim Min-jae: €25m to €20m (-€5m)
- Alphonso Davies: €45m to €40m (-€5m)
- Josip Stanišić: €35m to €40m (+€5m)
- Aleksandar Pavlović: €75m to €90m (+€15m)
- Joshua Kimmich: €40m to €35m (-€5m)
- Bara Sapoko Ndiaye: €300k to €4m (+€3.7m)
- Jamal Musiala: €120m t0 €100m (-€20m)
- Michael Olise: €140m to €150m (+€10m)
- Harry Kane: €65m to €60m (-€5m)
- Serge Gnabry: €20m to €18m (-€2m)
Notable increases:
- Jonas Urbig gets a deserved boost in his value, though it still seems a little low.
- Aleksandar Pavlović gets an upgrade making him one of the most valuable players on the squad.
- Michael Olise’s upgrade makes him the 5th most valuable player in the world per the website.
Notable downgrades:
- Both Alphonso Davies and Jamal Musiala lost significant value because of their injuries.
- Every player 30 and above either got a downgrade or stayed flat, even Harry Kane and Joshua Kimmich. That’s just how their algorithm works. Kane is still the most valuable over-30 player and Kimmich is top 5.
