Later this morning, Syracuse Athletic Director will host a new NIL partnership announcement at Meier’s Creek Taphouse. We’ll have updates about that event, but this announcement and the bizare appearance of Adam Weitsman at WrestleMania have us wondering what other deals Blair can come up with to improve the Orange’s NIL budget.
First up should be “The
Drake Experience”. Let the donor dress in full warmups and go through the lay-up line during a home exhibition game. We are allowed to tape it though so if you’re jumper isn’t wet, don’t get too cocky out there.
Fran Brown’s a visionary but we won’t suggest any nonsense to get in his way during a football game, so we’ve got two suggestions. First, the donor(s) can pay to be a kickoff tee fetcher. Sure other places use dogs, or student managers, but if you cut the check, you can get your 44 yards of glory.
Not looking to risk a hamstring pull in front of 40k, how about paying for the opportunity to stand next to Fran Brown during the post-game singing of Alma Mater. You’d better know the words and better be able to keep rhythm whenyou sway side to side.
Need some inspiration, you can pay to be part of Felisha Legette Jack’s pre-game and halftime speeches for a game. Syracuse not liable if you run into a Dome wall upon leaving.
Donors might not be super interested in the Olympic sports but we can still make some money thinking outside the box. Who wouldn’t want to run the sprinklers at halftime of a field hockey game at Coyne? Want to get some steps in- then throw on a tie and a sweater and you can shadow Coach Mac on the sidelines at the Soccer Stadium.
And if you’ve got someone who just wants to sit silently then how about these choices:
- Sit next to Kyle Fetterly for a lacrosse radio broadcast- chest protector included
- Guest conducter for Sour Sitrus when they fire up “The Hey Song”
- Guest PA announcer for a game where your voice is used to say “and that’s a deuce for the Cuse”
And the big one…..for a donation of 44,444 you can put on an Otto costume for a Quad Walk.
