The Pittsburgh Steelers currently lead the Green Bay Packers 16-7 at halftime of their Week 8 matchup. In the midst of that, though, NFL insider Jordan Schultz revealed the Steelers will be working out a veteran receiver on Monday.
Per Schultz, the Steelers are bringing in Marquez Valdes-Scantling for a workout. Valdes-Scantling was teammates with Aaron Rodgers from 2018-21, catching 13 touchdown passes during his time in Green Bay. He has since bounced around the NFL, winning two Super Bowls with the Kansas
City Chiefs and catching four touchdowns in 2024 with the New Orleans Saints.
The Steelers have long been connected to many receivers reportedly available in the trade market. Should they sign Valdes-Scantling, we’ll see if they continue to pursue the likes of Jakobi Meyers and/or Rashid Shaheed, among others.
