The Green Bay Packers have officially ruled out running back Josh Jacobs (knee), receiver Matthew Golden (shoulder/wrist), linebacker Quay Walker (neck) and cornerback Nate Hobbs (knee) with injuries.
Jacobs and Golden were both listed as questionable on the Packers’ final injury report of the week, while Walker was given a “doubtful” status.
Along with those four players, the Packers also ruled out three players as healthy scratches: offensive lineman Donovan Jennings, linebacker Jamon Johnson and kicker Lucas Havrisik. This means that Brandon McManus will be kicking against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, after Havrisik last kicked against the New York Giants.
Packers Inactives Week 12
- RB Josh Jacobs (knee)
- WR Matthew Golden (shoulder/wrist)
- OL Donovan Jennings
- LB Quay Walker (neck)
- LB Jamon Johnson
- CB Nate Hobbs (knee)
- K Lucas Havrisik
Johnson was called up from the practice squad yesterday, but didn’t make the gameday active roster. Going into this game, the Packers will have only one backup linebacker in Kristian Welch, as the loss of Walker will push Isaiah McDuffie into the Mike linebacker position and Ty’Ron Hopper into the third linebacker role. The team is very thin at both linebacker and cornerback, should there be an injury today.
As far as good news goes, defensive end Lukas Van Ness (foot) will see his first action since his injury on October 12th against the Cincinnati Bengals. Green Bay will have six defensive ends and five defensive tackles for this game.
Vikings Inactives Week 12
- TE Ben Yurosek
- OL Joe Huber
- OL Walter Rouse
- DL Elijah Williams
- LB Jonathan Greenard
- LB Austin Keys
The only notable inactive for Minnesota is that pass-rusher Jonathan Greenard will be out on Sunday. Hopefully, that makes the Packers’ life in the pass protection department a little bit easier.
