Last week, we took a look at some of the key training camp position battles for the Miami Dolphins this summer. We highlighted five of them, wide receiver, offensive line, edge, cornerback, and safety, then asked you for your thoughts on which battle would be the most important for the team this year.
You responded in our SB Nation Reacts poll and clearly, pass catching and stopping opposing pass catchers is your concern. The results came back with 31 percent of the vote thinking the wide receiver
position will be the most important position battle this summer, while cornerback in with 30 percent of the vote. The remaining just over a third of the result was split between offensive line (19 percent), edge (13 percent), and safety (seven percent).
As we said last week, FanDuel Sportsbook’s betting odds have Miami as the AFC team the least likely to make the playoffs this year (+1500 – double the odds of the next closest team, the New York Jets), and the camp battles at wide receiver and cornerback – and how they play out – could go a long way toward the Dolphins beating those odds.
