Hello all, sorry for the delay in new lounge posts. My kids are in the final days of summer and between them and the two puppies, my life is unbridled chaos at all times.
Here’s the last lounge thread in case you want to continue any debates.
As far as the summer… well we don’t have much. There are World Cup Qualifier games going on but there aren’t any Maverick-adjacent things related to that. 2028 Olympic talk will heat up sooner rather than later and expect Cooper Flagg to be in contention for the Select
team at least, but with both the Men’s and Women’s teams not needing to win the World Cup for Olympic draws, they won’t send their best and brightest (an annoying thing for me, as I love international basketball).
Past that, we’re waiting to see if the 16 man roster can shake itself down to 15 guys, somehow. PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford live in trade rumors at this point, but I have a hard time seeing either get moved. The front office wants value… the issue is there aren’t really any picks left to trade from the teams that could use either player.
I will be putting up a post soon looking for more help. That goes beyond writing. We have community manager-type positions I will need people to inhabit. So if you’re a regular poster and is interested, seek me out. I’d rather draw people from the comment sections than folks looking for a job. After all, this is a community, not an actual job.
