Something fishy is cooking in AAA courtesy of Dorian Roldan. The manager for Dominik Mysterio is pursuing legal avenues to assess the situation of Dirty Dom ‘unfairly’ losing the Mega Championship to El Grande Americano at Triplemania 34. If Roldan’s lawyers can work an angle, then it is possible that Grande may be stripped of the title.
The issue at hand is Rey Mysterio using his general manager power to act as the backup referee to count the winning pinfall. Critics will point to Rey’s bias toward
his own son as a deadbeat father. Sane people will recognize that Rey acted impartially, and Grande is the rightful winner.
On the latest episode of Lucha Libre AAA (Sep. 19, 2026), Roldan explained that Rey’s involvement was not right. An investigation will assess Rey’s action to determine if he acted correctly. Roldan teased a very big announcement on this matter for the next live show on October 3 from Leon, Guanajuato.
Rey addressed these allegations in the media scrum. He blamed Dominik for pulling the referee in front of Grande to cause the collision. Rey made the call to act as backup ref. He claims that he would have called the match down the middle no matter which wrestler was in control of the action. Rey believes that his three-count was straightforward and not a fast count.
Meanwhile, Grande is busy kissing his beloved Andrea Bazarte in celebration.
Grande also visited children at the hospital. The video clips show how caring the new champion can be.
So, basically, Roldan and Dirty Dom want to make children cry by stealing the Mega Championship away from Grande through poppycock legal means. We’ll find out soon enough how this situation is resolved.
