We return with Episode 161 as we dive into the U.S. Men’s National Team roster, World Cup ticket sticker shock, and the new World Cup ball that was unveiled last week.
First, the USMNT are back in action
this weekend, and we have our roster. We take a look at who is in this camp, who was left out due to injury or coach’s decision, and what the goals will be as the pressure starts to rise a bit with players hoping to etch their name on that World Cup team. We look at some of the mainstays who are back in camp and even some of the potential competition spots between players on the team. Ecuador and Australia are nice tests and the USMNT look to show more tangible improvement as the calendar continues to move closer to that opener next June.
After the break, we get into the World Cup ticket pricing and some suggestions as the high prices were a sticker shock to everyone. But, as the ticket sales continue, dynamic pricing is going to rear its ugly head. As tickets continue to rise and fall based on demand, it’s important to have as much information as possible to wade through the rage and have an educated plan for fans. We help with that as much as we can. There’s also hotels and travel that will add to the costs, and there is a great opportunity for hotels if it fits within your budget from Podium Sports Travel that could be an option for your group. Either way, patience is going to be the key as more tickets continue to be made available for the World Cup.
Finally, the World Cup ball is out, and its name is Trionda! We talk about it for a couple minutes…the design is pretty nice and it hopefully will look great when it’s on the field of play.
