Manchester United return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon as we travel to West Yorkshire to take on rivals Leeds United.
Although the atmosphere at Elland Road will no doubt be hostile, the Reds are unbeaten in our last seven visits there, the most recent being a 1-1 draw in January earlier this year.
Daniel Farke’s side have enjoyed a positive start to the new Premier League campaign, as they sit seventh in the league
table, and will fancy their chances of securing back-to-back wins against us for the first time since the 1971-72 campaign.
United were 5-4 winners on penalties against Leeds over the summer in our penultimate pre-season game, following a 1-1 draw in regulation time at Dublin’s Croke Park.
Our last competitive meeting with Farke’s side saw Leeds win 2-1 at Old Trafford in April, with Noah Okafor at the double.
The sides also met in January earlier this year at Elland Road, with Aaronson once again on the scoresheet for the Whites. Matheus Cunha restored parity three minutes later, as the sides played out a 1-1 draw in Ruben Amorim’s final match in charge.
It’s been a solid start to the season for Leeds, who had won two and drawn three in the league before Saturday’s reverse at Arsenal.
Farke’s men were impressive for the opening hour and took the lead through James Justin, but the Gunners struck back to eventually win 2-1.
Leeds’ home form has been particularly impressive in 2026, and they thumped Newcastle United 4-1 in LS11 prior to the break.
